Plans
CMAT is free to use, permanently and without a card. The paid plans add the
thermal and attitude half of the tool, and let you take the results out of it.
All prices are per year. Prices are exclusive of any taxes
that apply where you are.
Free
Students, hobbyists, and anybody sizing up whether CMAT is right for the job.

Academic institutions
A site licence for a department or a course, by named seat or by verified
e-mail domain, invoiced against a purchase order. This is priced per
institution rather than per person, which is why it can read as more than
the Commercial plan and is in fact far less: the two cross at three seats.
| Band | Per year |
| Up to 25 named seats | $990 |
| Up to 50 named seats | $1,790 |
| Up to 100 named seats | $2,990 |
| More than 100 seats | On quotation |
Every seat gets the full tool and 100 analyses a day.

What each plan includes
Every plan runs the same propagator, the same atmosphere, the
same space-weather data and the same validated models. There is no reduced
engine on the free plan, and there never will be: what differs is which
results you receive and whether you can take them out of the tool.

Questions
- Does the free plan expire?
- No. There is no trial and no countdown. If you never need the thermal or
attitude results, you never need to pay.
- Are the free results less accurate?
- No. A free run uses the same propagator, the same atmosphere model, the
same measured space-weather data and the same validated code a paid run
uses. The limits are on which results you receive, never on how they are
computed.
- How do I know whether it suits my mission before paying?
- Run your own spacecraft on the free plan and compare the orbit, decay and
pass predictions against whatever you already trust. The verification and
validation report describes how every model was checked and against what.
- Which plan do I need?
- If your results go into a commercial product, a customer deliverable or a
funded proposal, that is the Commercial plan. If you are enrolled at a
university, Student. Otherwise, Pro.
- What happens if I cancel?
- Your account drops back to the free plan at the end of the term you paid
for. Nothing is deleted: your saved missions stay, and the orbital half of
the tool keeps working. See the
Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Can I buy for a whole class or department?
- Yes, that is the institutional licence above. It is invoiced against a
purchase order and provisioned by named seat or by verified e-mail domain.
